Choosing your venue
Choosing your venue, or, if you’re getting married at home, your marquee, is the most crucial part of the planning process. We will ask questions about the venue as we go around and offer helpful advice that helps you make a decision. Once you’ve chosen the perfect location and set a date, we’ll turn our minds to your wedding day design and suppliers.
Getting to know you
No two weddings are ever the same, so we will begin with an in-depth conversation that helps me get to know you and how you visualise your celebrations, including where you would like to get married and the style of wedding you would like to have. We’ll also discuss your budget and agree on how we might allocate it according to your priorities for the day or weekend.
Designing your day
We develop initial visual ideas for your wedding, taking inspiration from far and wide, not just the wedding industry. This is a fun and collaborative process and it continues throughout the planning phase. I’ll produce a detailed budget that, together with our visual ideas, informs which suppliers I recommend and the briefs we send them.
Perfecting the details
I’ll be in almost continuous contact with your suppliers as we add more and more detail and personal touches to your plans. This includes refining the timings and logistics, at which I excel. I will keep you updated throughout about costs and deadlines, always making sure you have enough time to make decisions and you know when payments are due.
Selecting the right suppliers
Over the years, I’ve built up a wide and varied network of excellent suppliers across all categories and price points. Unlike many other wedding planners, I don’t take commission, so you can be sure that my suggestions are tailored to you and who will be the best fit for your wedding. I’ll help you to review creative proposals and scrutinise quotes and contracts so you can book with confidence.
Bringing your plans to life
After months, or perhaps years, of planning your wedding, I will bring everything together and ensure everyone has the information they need in advance of your day.
